When she was first rescued, she weighed only 60 lbs, but wait until you see her now…wow!

An English Mastiff was found thrown somewhere outside in a horrible condition, she weighted only a 3rd of what she normaly should. It’s sad to know that many other helpless animals end up like this.

Thanks to a good Samaritan the dog is been now taken care of and is named Violet.

Authorities in Clinton, Maryland saw the dog being tossed out of a moving car. The dog was then taken by the good Samaritan to Prince George’s County Animal Control. Mutts Matter Rescue took the dog and placed her with volunteer Debbie Gretz, who has experience with tending to severely emaciated dogs like Violet.

Debbie wrote on her Facebook page: “Tears avalanche my cheeks as I run my fork over her soft fur hugging every bone in her body,” “She will get up and walk to me…I am surprised she will even do that . i’m at a loss for the words to explain her condition. So happy to possess her here with me. Send all of your good thoughts, prayers, positive energy, whatever you’ll send her way.”

Violet weighed 60 pounds when she was found but she must gain 80 to 90 pounds to be healthy again!

Debbie is doing her best to make Violet healthy again. She’s been giving her several small, nutritious meals each day. Sweet Violet always wags her tail when she sees Debbie coming downstairs. When I sat on the sofa to speak to her, she walked over to me and put her head in my lap i assumed i might just melt. She is simply so sweet even after being treated so terribly.”

Anyone with information is beeing offred a $5,000 reward by the Humane Society of the us (HSUS) for helping find out the identification, arrest and conviction of whomever is liable for Violet’s abuse. Anyone who can help please contact the Prince George’s County Animal Management Division at 301-780-7241.
